Although they are not GTs, I suppose, I like rear engine riding mowers.

I picked up this Lawn Boy and 4 Gilsons like it. Gilson also made the same mowers for Ford and Yazoo. The Fords are blue, of course, and the Yazoos are red.I want at least one of each. There may even be Gilsons out there by other names.

Nice little mowers. I think Gilson made my R-11 Ford as it looks similar to that Red one.

Thanks. Yes Kenny , that is one of the Fords I was talking about. That would be a RE11E in Gilson talk. I know that the models were RE8 , RE8E. RE11, and RE11E . The E suffix designates electric start models. Without the E , they are recoil start. The Yazoos are called Red Riders. There is a Ford for sale locally on Craigslist but the price is $275 without an engine. I'll wait for a better deal.I've paid $20 and $30 for the ones I have.Good day.

That's about what I gave for this one. I have so much going on with the larger ones that I haven't gotten to do much with it. Had it running, but that's about it!

Welcome!

What's the 'project' in the background? Looks to have maybe a Ford flavor to it?

Here's what I got done today. I removed and cleaned the transmission on the Lawn Boy.

I also removed anlbtrans_zpsf435e9c0.jpeg

d cleaned the engine. I will paint the engine and reinstall it by this weekend. I hope to ride the LB for the first time soon. The vehicle in the background is a Ford Ranchero . It belongs to the fellow that I bought the Ariens from.

I do have a Ford though. Here is my daily driver / GT hauler. It's a 56 F100.

I just recently picked up one of these, the lawn boy. I see your has a bagger on it. I was told they did not make them for this mower by the person I bought from. Are these out there someone or did someone make that up on their own.

I have a Yazoo Red Rider, if you were closer I would offer it to ya, but shipping to NC would cost as much as the tractor.

That 56 is super cool. Love those old F100's. Thanks for showing her off.

I posted a coment but it went under one of the pictures from the other guys post, so not sure if anyone has seen it.  I'm wondering about the bagger that is on the lawn boy, I just got one of these and the guy I got it from said you could not put a bagger on these. Did they make one that will work or did someone have to customize one to work. Any tips would be great. Thanks
