Well, it's 0 dark:30 and in just a couple of minutes, we will be heading to GA to pickup the new (to us) motor home.

You guys play nice while I'm on the road.

I'll have my laptop, and Virgin Mobile hotspot with me, so I will still be able to post once we get there and settled in.

Well, I'm sitting in a KOA Campground in Sweetwater, TN and will be staying the night.

It's been a good trip so far.  The rental car was a 2013 Nissan Altima.  There were 4 of us in it, plus a bunch of stuff in the trunk.  I was really impressed with the mileage that rascal got. I was running at 5 over the limit all the way, and averaged right at 34 MPG.  Not only that, it was a pretty comfortable ride, which is important on a 600 mile trip.

We got on the road at 0320, and pulled into the RV lot at 1530, so it was almost 12 hrs. elapsed time.  Driving time was less as we stopped a time of two for some leg stretching, and stopped in a Walmart for a litter box and some litter so the cat would have it when we let her out of the cat carrier.  She rode the whole 12 hrs in a pretty small carrier, so I was pretty sure that she was going to need a litter box as soon as she was released from "durance vile".

Anyway, at the lot I started checking out the coach, and it was pretty much as advertised.  Just like pics of tractors, it looked better in the pics than 'in the flesh', but I was expecting that, and was not surprisedor disappointed.  It did have 2 problems that I felt that had to be resolved before we could finalize the deal.  After some negotiation, we ended up taking a discount on the price in lieu of having them fix it.

One of those problems is with the, and you guys will find this funny.....windshield wipers.  They weren't docking right, and earlier today when we ran into some rain ( of course it did, after all it's an "OldBuzzard Road Trip") they developed a life of their own and when on a delay setting they would stop at various spots in the cycle.  Sometimes where they were supposed to, and other times at some random place.  At times they even went through 2-4 cycles before stopping.  Really weird, and if we run into some more rain, I'll try to get a video.

Other than that, it runs and drives just fine, and all of the various systems operate as they should.  We (and the cat as you can see in the pic) are happy with what we think is a pretty danged good deal.

Rather than pics of the coach, here's the video that the seller posted on YouTube.

Sure looks like a real nice way to travel.

Not too big and not too small.

My in-laws travel around the country in a Monaco coach. Way to big IMO. More so when they come to visit us, it takes up more then 1/2 of my driveway. : (

Good luck with it.

What is it rated to tow ? Hopefully enough for picking up Bolens stuff.
