Broken clouds here and a possiblity for clearing skys,, if there is anything Ill get one of the kids to do their electronic "magic" and post something

Weather shows clouds until 2:30. I will have to set an alarm, might be my only chance to see it.

Haven't see 'em in a long time, too much light pollution here.  BEST I ever saw was Sept. night '57 before the first day of senior year.  Mom, Dad and I sat up all night in the front yard watching until the sun came up.  That must have been a whopper of a solar flare that year!

I read that around 57-58 was very active. Even my nephews great gram was talking about it tonight. She said it looked like the sky was on fire near the horizon. Before that, the last time it happened here was 1938.
