Chris, you missed out on all the icing, right? I used to live 25 miles east of Worthington, what a mess over there.

No Ice here thankfully. That really looks bad. I feel for those people and what they are going through. Went through that once and that was enough for a life time..

On the news last night they said it was going to rain this morning and then be 30 tomorrow. Then they said it would rain this afternoon and be 50 tomorrow. Still hasn't rained and will probably be 100 tomorrow.

November of 1996?

Seems like it was in October. We were without power for four days. Thousands of power poles were broken. It was a mess.

November 1st and 2nd. I was working in Hartford, SD and was instantly done for the season due to the instant foot of frost, which quickly turned into 2 feet in the next two days. Done until we had to come back and fix water main breaks on December 21, 22, 25, and 26th due to the massive frost with little snow cover, and 30-40 below wind chills. Ended up with pneumonia out that work.

Well now it is different again. The tv started scrolling a tornado warning so we ran out and took the popup canopy down. Get back in the house just as the rain cut loose in all its fury. Wind is howling like mad too.

I hate that stuff. Only time in my life when I thought I was dying a slow death.
