I just heard on the local news of a man mowing his grass with a riding mower and his wife came out of the house with their 2 year old daughter and the 2 yr old ran to her father and he ran over her with the mower. She is alive but has lost some limbs, I think they said 3 but not sure of that. This family needs our prayers tonight. This is in the Tampa bay area of Fla.

What a tragedy, For both the little girl and the Dad. She may get past this and I PRAY she does, but the Dad may never get over this. I don't know if I would.

PRAYERS sent !!

All it takes is one second of inattention.  So sad.  I've got 4 kids, we watch them carefully when any equipment is moving and they are outside.  Everyone gets on the porch when I crank a vehicle to move it.  Running up to Dad when he is mowing is a no-no.

I can't imagine what this would do to a father's (and mother's ) mind. I would never recover from such an event. Tragic does not come close to explaining it.

Tragic, yes! But should never have happened. I do not care to have anyone around when mowing due to an issue years ago. The push mower picked up a piece of wire, bounced it off a metal building and stuck it in my upper arm between the bones. Took over 2 hours for them to dig it back out. Anyone comes around when I'm mowing and I shut it down!

We spend so much time around these machines, it is easy to forget just how powerful - and how dangerous - they are. Please stay aware.

Tragic for sure.I'am sure the Dad will never be the same. You hear of all different things that happen to people and its just that. Its a accident and the people that it happens to need lots of support. All we can do is pray for them and hope they can get over such   tragedy.
