Every neighborhood has that guy, the one that always mows his yard first.

I never was that guy, but we moved and bought a house on 3 acres in November. I got the mowers running, lubed, etc and finally mowed tonight. I had to, we're getting rain, and my yard doesn't drain well. So i guess I'm "that guy" of the new neighborhood.

We're "that guy" because mowing simply is a great excuse for seat time.

I am not that guy, but the guy accross the street is.  My wife will say Pete is mowing again.  He is elderly and has had a stroke.  I am just glad to see him on his tractor going around and around and around.

Well I can't see any neighbors from my place untill I drive down the lane into town, but I'm usually not the first. But this year I have one ready and two more close to ready, so if this miserable cold stuff stops I might be that guy this year !

Not me. My neighbor across the road (actually at the end of the driveway, but that is 400yds away) is "that guy". every week his grass is mowed, sometimes 2 or 3 times a week. I think he goes out every morning with a ruler and if he notices 1/2" growth he hops on the GT. Cripes i work so many hours i usually have to wade thru till i get it all cut, then by that time it'm ready to start all over again.

I've been that guy before, but not usually.

I will share this with you.  The first time I mowed my lawn each year in suburbia, I used to don my bib overalls and mow the lawn.  Quite a sight in this neighborhood.  I don't do it anymore, but it was fun.

I mow an acre with a 40" cut and not a zero turn. People say I am crazy but I enjoy mowing my yard. It's not a chore. It's time that I have to myself and no one bothers me. I want to mow my yard. I am "that guy". I put down Triple 17 on my grapes and the grass was knee high and I figured it was time to crank up the mowers.

We're "that guy" because mowing simply is a great excuse for seat time.
