I've found a local CL that I'm working on but I have no experiecne with the QL cub's. Please give me your opinion. Here it is:

1450 hydrostatic cub cadet. Rebuilt 14hp Koehler engine. 48" deck, 48" fizer blade / snow plow, Carlisle ag tires and turf tires.

Tractor w/ turf tires and deck $500
Snow plow $150
New Ag tires & rims $100
Or 700 for all

Doesn't sound too bad to me. Tractor could use paint, but if everything else is working good may not be a bad buy!

The AGs and rims would cost you almost half that if you bought them new. A lot depends on the condition when you see it!

Unfortunatly the ag's is the one item I CAN't profit off of... I found this deal looking for a set of ags for a buddy so he'll get them for $100. The sell said he would take the whole lot for $600. I still think that is a touch high... but I haven't seen it in person yet.

I'd offer no more than $550 unless he can show receipts proving the engine was rebuilt for sure.  Way too many people try to pass tractors off as being rebuilt when they just got a set of rings or a valve job.

The deck is either a 44 or a 50, not a 48.  From the picture I would say its a 44.  48's were the older square end style.  With the amount of weathering on everything I would say maybe 500 tops for the package.  The deck and blade are both weathered hard and the tractor is as well.  The side tins dont match the dash panel or the lower grill for weathering and the top grill panel has been replaced or damaged and repaired as its painted black.  Looks straight but not worth their asking price I would say.

Daniel, I hadn't thought about reciepts for the rebuild. If I get a chance to look at it I will ask him face to face and see his reaction.

Cubguy, Good eye on all of that. He claims that it's just surface rust but around here things don't "surface rust" very often without leading to DEEP pitting rust.
