Make sure your Dad is aware that the 4wd system should only be engaged with the transaxle in low.  I would hate to see it break the front end because of some miscommunication.

Thanks for the reminder. It never hurts to have extra prompts. Dad and I have covered this several times so I think he's got it.

Well, at dad's request I posted the tractor for sale on CL a short while ago and today it SOLD. As dad explained it to me, he just couldn't justify having this size of a machine around his place. He figured he wouldn't be able to find enough work for it. So, it's been a great experience making the purchase, doing the repairs and getting to use an AWESOME tractor for as long as I've had it. The tiller and weight box left today and the tractor actually leaves this coming Wednesday.

Now for a new adventure.....not sure what that will be.

Believe me I wish I could have bought it from dad. Sad to see it go.

What a sad ending :(

Well, there are a few bright spots:

1) learned a lot hydraulics from the experience
2) learned how to use a FEL and love it
3) the new owner is excited and has plenty of use for it
4) I built a bit more confidence in my mechanical repair skills

Well, tomorrow's the big day. I've had fun. Looking at the hours meter tonight while I got everything in order for the 7020 to go to her new home I realized that the meter read 314.1 when the 7020 was dropped off at my place and it now reads 343.0 hours. I'd say I got a fair bit of use out of her before she left.

Now to fill the space left in the garage........

My wife was the beneficiary of dad's most recent project. The kids call my dad Pal (and my mom Honey). Pal and Will (my step son) didn't even break a sweat setting this stone.

He's 70 and doesn't come close to looking or acting the part. He's one tough guy.

Ha. I didn't even realize he'd signed up to become a member. I've been after him for a short while. He's been keeping tabs on all my projects from afar. I'll have to give him a call and officially welcome him to GTTalk. I'll try to get him to post some pics of his GT that he uses to mow move dirt and move snow. Thanks for bringing this to my attention, I'll have fun razzing dad about not telling me he joined. :D
