A while back we had a nice discussion on tools for the shop. One source is Freecycle. Here is an example locally.

Hi!

The upside - hey! Parts washer!
The downside:

#1 - it still has diesel in it for dissolving grime off parts
#2 - I dont' know if it still works or not -- was here when we bought
the house.

It doesn't have a ton of diesel in it..but it might be messy. I know
very little about cars, or their parts, or their washers... :)

I also have a beigey-white full bedframe and a dark oak/cherry looking
twin bedframe that could use new homes. I can take pictures if anyone's
interested.

The downside of the beigy-white one is that the metal 'runners' that
hold the boxspring let a corner fall through when it had five teenagers
on it. But, I think the bed has a good excuse for it's behavior. Not
the same can be said for teenagers. :)
