Your patio is coming along nice  Are you still going to use river rocks on the edge ?  We used small .(3/4-1") ones around our above ground pool with plastic underneath and it has held up well going on it's 24th year

Thanks!  Kinda leaning to just plain limestone gravel now, but river rock wouldn't show dirt/etc either, so jury still out on that.  I do have a place just 10 miles from me with a huge pile of river rock.  May take a drive to look at it.

YES, she is VERY happy about this project!  Makes it all worthwhile regardless of cost or labor.  She's earned it over these last 20 years together.

My day off, but woke up at my normal time.  Puttered around the house with coffee & GTT for a while, then headed outside & started mixing the concrete to fill in the gap areas of the patio.  About 40% finished pouring.  I'll get pics when I'm finished.  This concrete will be extra dark from the charcoal coloring tint I added, but fades to a blue/gray after several days.  At least it better!  Pics people posted on reviews of the dye all showed the color I'm after once it cured completely.

Just finished concrete filling the patio.  Rain was supposed to hold off till after 3pm, but no...it's here, but at least real light at the moment.  Teresa & I got some plastic cut in 3' wide strips to cover all the fresh concrete, so should be ok.  Pics will have to wait for now.

When you dairy farm for a living, you have to do things when the chance arises.  Not my fave thing to do on a Sunday morning, but sometimes ya do what ya gotta do.

Dang it!  I finally get around to sweeping the polymetric sand into the joints, & just as I got into it good, a surprise thundershower rolls in!  That's it for the day I guess.  Seems I underestimated how much poly sand those cracks will hold, as I got only about 20% filled with sand & used 2/3 or better of the bucket.  I better pick up 2 more buckets of the stuff.

Got as "thanks" on this thread, so figured to update......there is no update!  :smilewink:   All is still as it was, as been too busy to get to it.  BUT, the new propane gas line IS in the ground now, so as soon as I can get a load of rock, this will take little time to complete.  I figure by end of October I'll have it done.

Saw a tunnel of opportunity to go get a load of rock for the patio area.  Got a bit over 9 tons of number 3.  Rain coming, so may be a few days before I can start placing it.
