I went ahead and ordered the seals for this yesterday and decided to get everything cleaned up prior to their arrival so it would be an easy fix once they got here.  As it turned out, there was a mile of baling twine wrapped around the axle and it had compromised the seal causing all the fluid loss.  I cut all the twine away from the axle and pulled all the lil bits out that were sticking out from the seal with a pair of needle nose.....  looks like the leak stopped.  go figure.  Oh well, I guess I'll hang on to the seals until I really need them.  An easy fix is the most fun fix.

Glad you got the leak issue stopped for now. Just make sure it's full of fluid! I have one seal on my #2 FF20 that is real bad. Luckily, I still have a seal left over.
