It has bugged the heck out of me so here is my question. I see so many of y'all take a post from else where and attach it within a JOHN DEERE (where else) remark.. Take an ad on Craigs List and I want to insert it in something that john doe has written and it may or may not help him. I hope I have explained that clear enough.

Thanks for the ones that help.

Oh while I am at it, say person A has made an entry and I was to insert it in something I am writing and I want to comment on it in my post. Again I hope this isn't like mud.

Thanks

Dick

You mean like this, Dick? You just hit quote in the lower right corner of the original post and it brings it into your text box. there is also an option for multiple quotes

Like this?      I see so many of y'all take a post from else where and attach it within a JOHN DEERE (where else) remark..

That is 'highlight' the sentence (run the mouse over the part you want using the left mouse button), right click, choose copy. Go to where you want to put it, right click again, choose paste.

The other option is copy and paste. You hold your left button down and highlight words in the text. Then right click and you should get a drop box with options. Click on copy. Then take your cursor to where you want to put the item and right click again. Pick the option to paste and the text you copied hould show up like this : I see so many of y'all take a post from else where and attach it within a JOHN DEERE (where else) remark..

The one that befuddles me is how to get a link under a word. Like when you post click "here" and here is the link. That, and I don't have any luck getting a video to imbed in the post. It always ends up as a link.

Got that so far, but what about seeing something on Craigslist and I want to insert it in this post.

To do that, highlight the word you want as the link, look just below the 'font size drop down' for the little gray thing with the green plus. Click it and a box opens for you to post a link address in. Click OK on that and your word becomes a link.

Got that so far, but what about seeing something on Craigslist and I want to insert it in this post.

2 Ways. Do the above or just copy and paste the web address.
