Todays progress shows the first mirror assembly, the side marker light assembly, the first two cab spotlights and now i started fabricating the hood . What a fun project to finish up my garden tractor building hobby with. I'd love to build a pair of scrapers to pull behind it in parades and to display at tractor shows. :camera:

Like the hat! I mean you have a true gift for metal fab. especially with the few toold you are working with. This is truely an awesome piece of equipment you are building. Still like the hat ( kinda partial to the CAT brand..hey they pay my bills lol).

Here is the top of the hood after I cut the openings for the top vents. Now I am welding screen in them. The plasma cutter is handy for this kind of work but a little tricky to keep the lines straight and the curves smooth . Also a picture of ice in the bucket this morning after getting freezing rain all night . We lucked out and got 3 inches of wet snow this morning for traction on the roads. :camera:

That hood really sets it off!

Are the fuel tanks for show, or will they be used?

Holy smokes Don!!  I haven't checked on your progress lately. I have to say you prove you don't need a shop full of metal working tools to make something great.  Very impressed!  What gauge steel you using for the hood?

Keep up the good work

Today I finished the left side tank and built the first grab handle and got the two left side cab posts bent and attached. Here is a picture I redid a year or so ago when I was only dreaming of my mini 4x4 jd tractor project.
