Don,

I hope you told the dealer that you are a 4000 acre crop farmer and wanted to test drive the new equipment as you are thinking about  upgrading and adding to your fleet  :D

I think the hood you have started is amazingly similar to the real deal.  And please remember that if this build just doesn't turn out to your liking .......... well I am liking and would love to own that for plow days and shows

Don, they're going to make a movie about you and this project entitled "Honey I shrunk the JD".  You deserve every compliment you get! :driving_big_tractor:

Ha, ha , yes I should have told the dealer I have 10 tractors , one 9630 and am looking to add another one :bigrofl:

No I won't use the square lights that came on it. Honey I shrunk the tractor , too funny. Length and width is pretty close but hp wise not so close, ha,ha.

Thanks ,

I got the left side vent openings cut out and welded yesterday and also welded bracing inside the hood . Today I should get going on the fabrication of the front lower frame extension that will support the hood . Monday I will get back to the cab construction.

Todays progress picture shows the front hood hinges built and the markings on the top of the hood ready to be cut out with the plasma cutter. Very pleased how the hood opens and closes. Next I'll work more on the lower front frame . :camera:
