This next progress picture shows the expanded metal now attached to the top of the blade. It is far from perfect but I am pleased with the overall look of the tractor and blade together. This would have been a cooler picture with the 4020 too. In a couple weeks my grandson will be home and i will line up the 10 tractors in the backyard for the first time for a special family photo

Yes, the Komatsu Dozer is one of dozens of construction and mining models I have built over the years. I started out building just farm toys . You can see them and the building of many of them on my webpage that has over 2000 photos and over 150 videos .

  my webpage is www.doncampbellmodels.com

Don did you build all of them from scratch? Please tell me  at least some are from kits so I don't feel so inept. The attention to detail is unbelievable. My hat is off to you sir it is truly incredible work. Thank you for sharing your web site.

Some people have the gift of seeing the details... obviously Don is one of them.

I want to see it work.

Yes, the models are all built starting with pieces of flat metal , it has been pretty cool seeing if I could make each new project look even close to the real thing . No blueprints , just looking at three or four different angle of pictures usually was enough.

The garden tractors are easy compared to the one from scratch. Thanks again for the positive feedback.

Hoping next week to drive it for the very first time and share the video.

Today my new gas tank arrived and I got the metal fabricated to hold it with straps. Perect fit when the hood is closed. If all goes as planned tomorrow is the day I should get to drive it for the first time. :dancingbanana:

The tractor fired up the first turn and it sounds pretty good . A diesel engine would have been cooler but it is what it is, just a 23 hp twin cylinder Kohler . I drove it back and forth a few times and turned the wheels a few times in the shop. I got side tracked today doing repairs around the house that decided to breakdown of all days . The shop door has not been opened in a few months and things tend to get laid against it over and over again. so I got a cleanup job tomorrow before i can even open the door and pull it out.  Deb took a video but it isn't worth posting so tomorrow when we pull it out in the driveway it will be a better video to share. You can see I don't fit in the cab but it looks good when I am not in it and the seat is removed and the rear cab wall is on.  It  will still be fun to play in the snow with .

The crossover pipe was putting out a lot of heat to the gas tank so i had to put a heat shield between them. I'm busy cleaning today getting ready to open the shop door for the first time in a few months to drive the 4x4 tractor , the jd 110 , and the hot rod all for the very first time. I have never driven those three tractors until today.

Here is a nice view of my backyard. Driving the those three tractors today was great. Tomorrow I will see about firing up the 730 and driving it for the very first time.

I will build bolt on wings because when the blade is angled it will be about 6 inches short covering the tire width .
