Here is the next progress picture with the cab mounted and the cab lights and mirrors mounted. Now I am building the steel plate that will hold the front grill decal .

Looks very good Don!     So do you keep track of all the hours you put into your tractors?

No I don't keep track of the hours on any of my projects. Then it seems like a job to me and takes the fun and relaxing part out of it.

My goal is to keep it at a level of fun .

No getting well for my dad with the last stages of alzheimers but were making the best of it.

I grew with duels on all the tractors and never saw triples on tractors . Funny how that works so now i just like duels and not so much liking triples. Today I will put the floor in the cab and get the front decal plate installed. Then I got to decide on a muffler for the inside of the exhaust stack. Just a straight pipe will be too loud. Then I have to order a custom gas tank for the front under the hood . Then it will be time for the first test drive. I could get going on the blade next week too.

Thanks , I'm hoping one more week but my folks are not doing so good so were helping them a lot this summer. and the shop projects have had to be put on the back burner. But I am still trying to spend a couple days each week on it.

Praying for you Don.  We've experienced the same thing with my wife's folks this spring.  Lot's harder than working on these tractors.

My mom said three of her friends passed away from the stress of their husbands losing their memories. So were trying to be there for my mom.

I will definately share a video of my first test drive . Alos one of the hot rod jd , the jd 110 and the jd 730 . They have never been driven out of the shop yet.

After the degelman blade project I would like to jump back to the loader project for the jd 730 . One other possible project would be a jd garden tractor on tracks . They are so cool. One other project would be a jd D as we had one of them on the farm too. I still have to go back and build the 5 bottom plow for the 4020 .

One other project is a garden tractor/jeep project. I will put the 4 balloon tires from the Steiner on it. So I guess I still have a few things to go , ha,ha.

Here is two pictures of the jd 4020 with the new decals , I still have to redo the hood decals but the side ones look much better. Also here is my 3 point crane / forks / hitch . :camera:The old portable shop crane was never used so i thought I could get more use out if it on the back of the 4020.

Don, funny thing, yesterday after updating myself on your post. I turn to my 5yr old son, who has a shirt on with the large John Deere articulating tractors, that you've copied. That's cool. That really ties it together for me.

Tom

P.S. he was the one who pointed it out. ( he saw your pics )

Back from the farm but not without a couple photos of the neighbors two blades and another silage blade we spotted while riding around. I now have the first 12 parts cut out for my blade. I'll post the first blade progress pics soon.
