I've had this rider about 12 years and only had it running a few times. Put a battery in it a couple weeks ago and got it running. The Carb leaks where the halves join. The drive system works though. This is the only tractor I have left of this style. Here's a link to a video

Welcome to GTT. Your float valve is probably sticking. Sometimes a light rap on the side of the carb with a screwdriver handle will free it up. If it does, use some carb cleanner in the gas. Otherwise, rebuild the carb. Good Luck, Rick

I second using a carb cleaner like SeaFoam to solve your leaking issue but apparently it isn't a bad enough problem to keep her from running. Just turn the fuel off when she isn't running. If you do decide to go with a rebuild, be sure to get an instruction sheet on the carb rebuilt. The carb can be quite unforgiving and easily damaged if disassembled in the wrong order. BTW, I have a 3414s and the shuttle is my favorite...not a universally held sentiment.
