Well I found me a 48" mower deck on ebay in great shape , good paint , with mule drive for  buy now of $225 . I asked seller some questions then ( being money tight, but willing to pay the $225 ) I bid $175 on Monday night. It had end date of April 1st . I checked My ebay a few minutes ago and sale has ended and I didn't get it . Real bummer dum bunny is what I is. You snooze things happen .

How often does this happen to you ?

I do it all the time, Larry, and end up beating my head against a post.  I usually open the bidding on tractors in my area, just to see if I can get a good deal. The ones I want I usually have to fight for these days.  Unfortunately, my internet speeds aren't high enough to compete with the snipers!

Don't worry about it. It wasn't meant to be. You haven't lost anything. It may have had hidden problems so don't even think about it. Any day that you wake up on the sunny side of the grass is a good day and nothing that has happened can be that bad.

I do it all the time as well, either the deal money can is empty or I over analyze the purchase and it's gone before I make my mind up

I normally take the attitude that boyscout862 does, don't sweat it as other deals will come along and the money is still in your pocket!

I bid the price I'm comfortable with the first time.  If I get outbid, I don't mind.  Sometimes I get a great deal that way.  Sorry you lost out.

There won't be money after the wedding either. It just disappears too fast.

All the time.  I tend to say well I'll check on that tomorrow and sure enough by waiting I lost out on a deal or something.

I just lost a chance at a Massey 1650, with three point and PTO.  It hit Craigslist on Monday, I found it that night and it was just under 2 hours from me..  Thought about it all day Tuesday, tried to justify buying it for the requested $350.  Went to look at it again last night and it was gone.  Somebody got a deal, cause I reckon even if everything else is toast, the three point and PTO would have brought the asking price on ebay.

Really bummed out about lack of money right now.

I consider myself the king of snipers :smilewink: , rarely do I bid on anything I want until the last 8-10 seconds of auction.

Just last week I got a 800.00 machine for work for 125 bucks while others were paying over 400 for the same thing.

I have a real good feedback rating, and in the last few years have only lost 2 auctions. On CL if it's something I really want or need I have learned to never wait, call asap, and still it's a crap shoot.

Checkbook also tells me when to bid or not too :D
