thanks all

got the 212 home tonight

the deck wheels were froze in the ground about 2 -3 inches - had fun digging them out

good 46 inch deck - bearing seen to be good

had fun getting out of the area he had it in - both front tires did not hold air - fun pulling

my 1/2 ton chevy pickup  just spone the tires - he got his 4 wheel drive pickup - glad it is not my back yard

it is a 84 - 212 with electric pto manual lift.

finally got it on the pickup

then he started getting things out from his garage.

k301 - bored out .020 - new kohler piston and rod for it, still in the box and gaskets for it

no starter or carb - have to see if it is hide some place in his garage.

some other parts too - like a electric pto

his did said the he will look some more for other parts

oh I just almost forgot

He gave me a Wheel Horse cab - had to knock it down to get it home.

Stop at a friend house on the way home a gave him the cab for this Wheel Horse

He could not believe it - it needs  two windows replaced

he said no problem

got home had to put air in one of the front tires twice to get it off the pickup

glad I got 12 foot ramps I made

the 210 come home tomorrow

will let you all know  more then

forgot

he has a model 80 cart that he would sell for around $250

I looked at it - the deck is rusted because he has carpet in it - no holes just rusted

the tailgate does need a little work - rusted at the bottom if it

cleaned and painted it would be a good little cart to have

if I brought it home the wife would kill me

he should post it on Craigslist

I will tell him tomorrow

day three

when I got there today the 210 was setting next to the garage - yeah

the other were fun getting out from were they were

loading it up

he was not home but his wife was

she called her and he said that he will call me when he find any more parts

he said that the 210 motor was rebuild and ran great but he had problems with the drive pulleys not working right and parked it out back

he had a set of wheel weight on the 110 that he is keeping and want to fix back up

but he said that there is a set of wheel weight down at his dad's place that he would sell me and that he will call me when he gets them

will tell you all how things go rebuilding the GTs

they are going to clean up the JD 80- cart and post it on the Des Moines, Iowa craigslist soon

Did they make tillers back in the day for the 210 and 212 JD's?

jeeper4life,

Yes, tillers were available back then. The tiller used for either of the models that you asked about, is a #31 tiller. If you look up the post about mounting a tiller on a round fender, you will see a picture of the #31 tiller, along with the intermediate drive and the tiller mounting bracket.

there is a John Deere 200 with a #31 tiller for sale on craigs (Kansas City, Mo) right now.  It is in Sedalia.  (about 90 miles east of me).

You better snap up that 80 cart regardless of the condition, because the price is right, as well as the wheel weights. Weights on ebay go up to $ 175.00 a pair.

  • Trav1s said thank you
