Ledger plates are the serrated plates on a sickle mower guard.

I bought some used guards for my DB and am thinking about replacing the plates.

I've done it on ag mowers.  It only takes a few minutes if everything is right.  The problem is finding the ones you need.  Hardware store's "generic" only fit a few properly.

Are yours held on with a rivet?

I bought a box of NOS sections and a used sickle bar with 2" guards. Some of the plates need to be replaced. They are riveted on, but I don't know how easy they will be to replace.

I will probably have a few left. The DB has all doubles except the middle one it's a single. The bar I bought has all singles on it?

I have a few missing, and water has gotten under a few, frozen and pushed them up. Some of these guards are bent. So I'll probably replace all of them.
