can any one tell me what the differences between the 1650 and 1655 are?

The 1650 had a Kolher engine,5 bolt rear wheels,a belt driven mower deck.The 1655 had the Onan engine,6 bolt rear wheels, and shaft driven mower deck.Also the 1650 had shaft drive directly from the engine to the tranny ,the 1655 had belts running down from the engine to the shaft which then went to the tranny .The 1655 had the rear PTO driven directly from the engine,and the 1650 had belts running to the rear PTO drive shaft..I'm sure there are more differences but those are first ones I could think of.

55 series had larger wheelbase also.

I guess not in this case, but many times the 5 added on meant hydro as opposed to gear tranny
