Yep, ladder will be tied very securely. I have no desire to feel that ladder move a fraction of a fraction of an inch!

Know what you mean. Pucker factor goes up mighty fast when that happens!

Been too dad-blamed hot to make myself climb the ladder & finish this side. I'll spend way more time climbing up & down the ladder than it'll take to put the final pieces in.

You may also notice I need a new antennae. That ice storm some time back broke off most all my VHF rods. I can barely pull in stations even with a booster now. UHF is fine. I need this antennae during storms that can knock out my cable. Gotta be able to get storm info! I think I'll have a new antennae ready so when Brian (TD&H) is here, I'll have him scramble up there & install it! :smilewink:

I've been upstairs some today cleaning the mess from installing the windows & removing the old AC unit. Dust everywhere! Plus my little decal cutting area was/still is a wreck. Good to have some stuff to do inside while it's so hot.

The octagonal windows weren't deep enough to match the interior walls, so later I'll have to add frame to bring it flush so I can get it all trimmed out.

here's the rest of my little corner. I make my decals here, plus store some of my junk. You can't see the octagonal window for the computer. The cutter/plotter sits in front of the window.

Getting it halfway straight in here now.

Pics in a little while.....this side of the house is almost done. Finishing upper shutters in a minute or two. Gotta stop sweating so bad before I go back out.

As Gomer would say,....Shazam! This side is DUNN-done! Still have a few hours work on the far side, but this side of the house is complete, and I can relax just a tad. They were calling for possible high winds tonight, so I wanted to get this side finished & the ladder down. Man did I sweat like a pig it's so hot & humid! Temp is only 95, but the humidity in the 70's.
The other side is likely going to require a man-lift because the bedroom is built out under the eave & a bit dangerous to rig a ladder stage.
Now I have to pick up all the mess in the yard & find all the nails dropped before my GT's find them!

I can understand that, Daniel! Time to keep the feet on the ground for a while, plus let it cool down some.

OK Kenny, got the camera out while watering my late sweet corn. Here's the other side. Gonna be critical on the left side of the window, as I'll have to lay some vinyl temp fashion starting at the top sheet coming over the window from the right, then hook on more temps on the left going down so I can get a matching line to start the left bottom piece. I may end up just nailing them on permanent from the top down, using a "zipper" tool to put them on in reverse fashion. As you can see, above the window still has old siding that has to be removed, as well as the old clapboard underneath, then foam sheet, then vinyl. Trouble is, with the bedroom addition, there's no way to use a std ladder setup. I could likely build a ladder jig, but I don't like the idea. I may end up seeing my neighbor with his manlift. He offered it to me without my asking when he saw me start this project. I just hate to borrow anything though. I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.
