WooHoo....vent is in! Hit 100 already, and I milk again tonight, so likely this will be it for the day as far as the house goes. No sense in trying to kill myself, plus there are other things needing done.

Daniel, you are doing a great job! That is going to look so nice when you have it done. Maybe one of these days you'll remember where you stashed that sky hook! Awesome!
Just don't look down!

Might want to get the ladder down, Daniel. Looks like you might be on the tail end of those winds!

Naw, it's tied off to my ground pipe on one side, and to my FEL on my MF1855 on the other. If it takes it down like it is, then I have lots more to be concerned with!

By the way, I don't look down at all when way up there. To get the downward shot, I just held the camera in position. I sometimes get that weird feeling when I look down.

Long way up there for this ole boy!

Even longer way down!

The cross brace I'll just leave, as it will sit 1 1/2" back from the vent & won't impede air flow. It was fun up there cutting this hole to say the least. Had to use a jigsaw, as there is no way I'm letting go of the ladder with both hands! :smilewink:

Daniel, the photo makes my knees weak and I'm used to ladder work--be careful and remember, us older folks don't bounce like we used to.

I've said many times that they lied on "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer", as I for a fact know that "Bumbles DO NOT Bounce"!!!

Got vinyl above the upper window! Not sure if I'll get much more time for it today. Came in for a TALL glass of sweet tea! Heading back out.

That's good to hear, Daniel! That tea does wonders on days like this!

Getting close! This won't finish the entire project, but this last little bit will complete this side!
Having NO problems being so high up today. Just a couple more short pieces on the right, then I'll have to tie off towels or the like on the end of the ladder so I can drop it onto the siding to cap the top side. So I'll have to tie off the ladder secure again. On the foam, the ladder holds tight as can be.

You're just getting used to the higher altitude, Daniel! Looks great from Tulsa!

James came with a load of block, so I had to stop siding. Not sure if I'll do more today or not. I may ought to wait for another time, as I'm kinda worn out now. Worn out can cause clumsiness, and clumsiness & high ladders isn't a good mix!

That sounds like a great idea to me! Take a break. Hey, on the ladder protection for the vinyl, use an old pair of socks. Slap a rubber band on there and they should do fine.

I got some thick old winter socks that should do the trick. Thanks Kenny, I hadn't thought of that!

Be sure to tie the ladder off, as it will slide across the siding very easily!
