We had our first annual fall tractor ride last Saturday. The temp had turned cool with the high only getting to 58 but we still had 7 tractors and 3 riders in trailers go on the ride. We went on a 20 mile trip through some of the back roads around here. When we got back to town we had a surprise birthday party arranged for my wife. It was her 50th birthday and I just couldn't let that go unoticed and not celebrate it! Here are some pictures of the tractors and the trip through our part of the world.

Sounds like you had a good time.I used to go on lot of horseback 20 mile ride's.We would have a poker derby at the same time, every so many miles we'd draw a card for the deck and mark it down.At the end of the day the player with the best hand would win the pot.At the start of the day you paid say $5 per hand and the more people who paid to play would make up what the pot to be won in the end was worth. I've never won one but others have.Larry

Those are a lot of fun. Those are some great pics! Just the first hint of fall colors and a lot of beautiful scenery. Sounds like a great day for a birthday party too! We had our tour in August. I believe that there are some pics from ours on here somewhere.

Wow!!! Looks like a lot of fun!

My wife keeps reminding me of things she'd like to do for her "surprise" 40th birthday party next June! I told her that the REAL surprise would be when she finds out there's NO surprise party! (Yes, I DO realize that would NOT be a smart thing to let happen.....)

Great Day wasn't it? That's a beautiful part of the world you live in.

Nice turnout for a first ride, I see they all had taller stacks... smart idea... right Caseguy?

When a little kid, I went on those 20 mile tractor rides, but with Dad custom square baling hay. Made for long days, but good memories. Glad you all had a good time Mike! Say a belated Happy Birthday from all us to your Wife!
