I have been wanting to work on the golf cart for a while now to make better use of it at shows. It gets to be tiresome lugging all the camera gear all the time even when riding on a tractor to get around. I also wanted to be able to use it for the plow days and getting through the fields. The other thing I wanted was a back seat so we could fit more of the family on it. Although I still think a 2nd cart might be in the future but for now it is hard to say.
For those that never seen the golf cart here are a couple pics of how it used to look. Huge thanks to Don aka Truck21 for getting us a great deal on the cart.
This is a pic with the little one sitting on it:
This is a pic of us hauling all of Brian's stuff from the auction late Saturday night at last years Olde Tyme Days show, not needed but funny
I ended up buying a lift kit, wheels and tires and also a rear flip down seat kit. I tried to spend as little as possible as I didn't want to make a huge investment in it. I also got some base coat / clear coat paint which I am sure I am bound to here some comments but I gotta blame my daughter because she picked the color. That's my story and I am sticking to it
Here are a couple pics of what it looks like now. I have some wet sanding and polishing to do because I have a couple of runs in the clear coat. It's been so long since I sprayed and the lighting in the garage wasn't the best. Overall I guess it turned out pretty decent and there are still some more things I would like to get done through the course of this year. I gotta get back to work on the Bush Hog though.
