I got a ford 1620 compact tractor tat has started to leak oil out the front axle. it is leaking very fast and need to fix it quickly. Its four wheel drive and is leaking at the final reduction gear, between # 9 and #13. I was wondering how I would go about when it come to taking it apart. What steps would I follow to get to the oil seal labled #12 on the diagram. If I know how to take it apart I will know what else I should buy. Thanks for any input!http://partstore.agr...:mr64457ar53018

Matt I can;t tell you how to fix it or what to expect. I have never been into a 4X4 tractor. I have yet to do anything to my 1500 except change the oil, And that info was all in my owners manual. If I had to get into the innards I would start by getting a Shop manual.
Hope someone can offer more info.
