"Some of you who have been on here awhile may remember LilysDad. Apparently, he was found wandering around in the pine woods of southern Virginia in a state of euphoria. His family has had him returned to Illinois, where intensive therapy will return him to polite society. Given half a chance though, he may slip away again."

No, it wasn't really quite that bad. Almost! My SIL owns 90+ acres of pine woods with a small house near Emporia they use for a summer place. My wife and I spend the winter there sometimes. I've spent most of the last 4 months 4 wheeling trails, cutting wood, bird watching, hiking, deer hunting, looking for arrow heads, reading, contemplating the meaning of life (No, I didn't figure that one out!), etc.

Though I've shoot a lot of guns in my life, I've never hunted deer before. It's hard to find hunting places and there is no rifle season. I was in VA for the last two days of the deer hunting. I saw a few but, didn't get a shoot. Next year, I plan to go earlier to get more time.

I went to a local gun auction and bought a Lee Enfield rifle pretty cheap I'm going to clean it up and be ready for next year! I don't want to get into a political debate on here but, if you send me a message, I'll tell you what it took to get a background check from Illinois to Virginia. Ha!

Now, you folks will have to tell me what I have missed out on while being gone. Has Mark777 taken over ownership???

READ ANY GOOD BOOKS???????????????????????

:bigrofl: :bigrofl: :bigrofl: :bigrofl: :bigrofl:

Your safe return just tells me the Good Lord isn't always paying attention to what I'm asking for. Kinda like my wife. And my boss. And Ken.

Ooh! Ooh! Speaking of Jersey, he found a whole six pack of motivation to mix with his previously undiagnosed OCD! Either that or he ran over a crack dealer and didn't report it.

Oh, and John up above there lost any opportunity to become a valet in the near future due to a storm.

I also found out why they asked me to help out with moderation. The mod lounge hasn't been cleaned since they built the place, and olcowhand never takes off his boots.

Glad to see you found your way home! You've got lots of catching up to do. And pay no mind to Cat. He just upset because we won't let him put a litter box in the lounge, so he has to go outside!

Well, if you ever got a whiff of my feet after removing them from said boots, you'd prefer I leave them on!   :D

Welcome back LD.  Don't mind Cat, he's just had a bit to much catnip.  I told the guys we needed to keep that stuff under lock and key.
