My son redid our computer and in the action lost that program that lets you rear PF and files off here and print them any way you want and such. Darn, brain fart won't let me recall the name!! Real common. There is available a free section of it on-line, but not sure where to look or that name again. Help me out here, so I can down load files again, thanks! I just have Micro soft systems that come with a puter, nothing odd or diff.

Another thing lately is that I can't seem to use the font and sizes and other things above the posting now. They stay dim and not working for me. What's up with that?

GL, you're thinking of adobe reader. The free download should be at adobe.com.

Help! Puter dumb here!  Went to site and too many  versions to download???  Picked adobe flash. right or wrong one?  Then think I downloaded it, had to close windows explorer to finish. There is no Icon for it and not sure where in puter it is/went?  Before this I picked info to go to Explorer Video program, which I find is for TV I guess.  NOW, when I go back to try download of manual it goes to that Media player only and wants me to download the Media program, which I don't want. Can't see how to make it stop going to Media. In past it just opened in the Adobe for me. I'm lost!  Stupid Kid changed things just when I was learning all the stuff to get around on this box.  He claims it is "Improved".   Makes me step back 2 paces!

You want Adobe Reader.  Did you follow my link?  Flash should have already been installed.   Follow my link and click on the download button.  It should ask you if you want to save the file or run it.  choose run and follow the instructions on the screen.  You should be good with all the defaults.  Then you should have an icon in you menu for the Adobe reader.

Flash is a plug in for you browsers that allow you to watch video and movies online.  I'm not quite sure what you have done to get a player.  You may want to go to your add/remove programs and see if you can uninstall it.

Not sure I got the Flash part, BUT, it does keep opening when I want to download the file. I did find a partial link to Adobe 11 on the puter asking to download. I clicked yes and did it and now have Icon on the Desktop. BUT, when I go back to here to download, it keeps opening the Media player from Micro-soft and can't see how to stop that. It used to just open the Adobe automatically for me before. I tried SAVE and didn't use that either, not sure how to direct it to a place here. :smashing_pc:

Windows has apparently associated a PDF extension to the flash instead of the reader.  What version of windows are you running?

Ok, kid fixed the default to be for Adobe, which I finally got downloaded and took off the default Media link. Good to go, and working as I know it once again. I have windows seven here. So hard, yet So Simple!  I'm kinda dumb with electronic devices! :(
