I asking this, yet walk outside and it's setup just like yours. Problem I'm having is that under a load, the throttle barely opens, causing it to stall.

Pete you are missing the small metal adjustable extension on the governor arm.It looks like someone removed it and installed the rod in it's hole.

I forgot to hit "quote" on my last post. If you look at yours and Daniels you'll see the piece missing, and that the rod from the governor should be in front of the pivoting arm with the throttle return spring. If you don't have a spare Tec around I might have and old one out back that I could steal the extension and the rod from ( yours is pretty bent up). Just let me know if you need it.

Looks like I am going to need it, please let me know if you have it. I'm free tomorrow, are you? I can either come by to pick it up or if you'd like, you're welcome to come over, we can tinker, grill and have a fun time. Let me know.

Thank you very much.

I just went out and removed the pieces from my engine. I am supposed to go fishing with my Dad tomorrow, I'll see if I can get them up to you before we go.

Adjusting the little plate is tricky.  Just a little too far can send the rpm's wild, so be careful!

Oh I know lol. It's amazing how a hair in one direction or the other makes such a large difference.

Well I bought that one, installed and she sure runs great! Oil change tomorrow, then a video.

Oil: SAE30 for a month then 10w-30 for winter? Thoughts & opinions please.
  • Texas Deere and Horse and chris m have said thanks
