I know it's a 1978 and the model number is 917.257080. I also know that it was made by Frigidaire by the pinned post.

Were these ONLY made in 1978?

What else can you all tell me about these model?

I cut and pasted the model number and it messed up the text. After not wanting to delete the whole entire sentence I just ran with it.

I played with it, Gumby! I don't know much about these. But we have a Manual for that model!

I think they were more like the earlier SS and Custom tractors.

I think it has the big block Onan, one of the last few yrs of the suburban type tractors, fairly desireable!!!

I am buying that today. He has the shroud, hood and quite a few extra parts for the Onan. The owner also states he has the original owners manual for the mower and deck.

Wonder why he's stating it as a SS18 with 18 Onan when model number shows it's a 78 GT19.9?

I would double check onan numbers too.

He thought it was a 18 hp Onan until he found the hood. When he found the hood it said 19.9 on the hood and that's how he figured it out. Since I am coming to buy it tonight I figured he is not going to take the time to change the ad.
