That's about the pic here right now, Cat! If all else fails, I can plug the BIG monitor into this laptop! :D

Most TV's nowadays are wireless compatible and you can really super size your monitor by using them! :rocker2:

Kenny, Ethernet cards going out are quite common.  I have had them go dead when all I did is move a computer from one room to another and plug everything up.  In fact I have a couple of computers around here with 2 cards in them, the dead on on the mobo and the replacement one.  If one goes out on your laptop and you have a PCMCIA card slot you can get a wireless card for it or a USB wireless adapter.  The only thing about the USB adapter route is it uses a USB port and Laptops don't have a lot of ports.

You can get a PCI card at wal-mart pretty cheap or you can get a wireless adapter and plug it into a USB port.

Can Kenny run 'cmd' in windows, issue the 'ping 127.0.0.1' command and use the results to see if his card is working or not?

(I should KNOW this!)

I think I have several extras in my tech stash that I am trying to make go away.  Probably 10/100 but would do you fine.  I know that I have one that supports XP without additional drivers.  Send me your address in a private message and I can send it to you. :smilewink:

I think we have it fixed as I am on the HP right now. Had to reset the cable modem.

Kenny, do you need that card?

Not yet! Seems the cable modem needed reset! And it's tricky on how you do that.
