Well, the turnout for tractors was down by 50% this year, both full size & GT's. Didn't count them , but maybe 50 or so total. Lots of the guys are running soybeans, others still shelling corn. Some didn't show up because the town folk who run the entire Lincoln Days events have ticked a lot of people off, then they charge to be in the parade, but didn't advertise that tractors in the show were exempt from the parade fee. Some people can ruin an anvil with a rubber hammer...no exception here!
Anyways, good news is I only had 2 other GT's besides mine, plus one walk-behind. Bad news is I busted my steering cast iron gear plate while unloading. Good news is I got it to the line & it won "Ugliest Tractor" again. Better news is it won me a 950cca Diehard Jump Start Box!!!!! More good news....my 76 MF12H won "Best of Show" GT, and that got me a $200 Box of Craftsman tools!!! Bad news is I hate winning with almost no competition. The old Speedex could easily have taken "Ugliest GT", but I took it. There was a very nice JD restored too, but I won "Best of Show" when the JD could have. I was very disappointed with the low turnout. Maybe next year will be better. I kinda felt bad winning with little competition, but after looking at my prizes I got over it fairly fast!:D

My lineup...was 1st to arrive:

Looks like you came away at the end of the day with some nice stuff. It's the same out here right now farmers are all still busy taking crops off and trying to get stuff done before the snow flies. We usually get snow around Halloween. Not sure what this year is going to be like as the leaves are pretty much done.I picked the last of them today and only a few stragglers left on the trees.Starting to get frosty every night now sooo, winter is just a few short weeks away. Thanks for sharing all your pics.Larry

Leaves just starting to drop some here. SO dry, my area's leaves will have very little Fall color this year. Most will fall just plain old brown. September set an October all time record dry here, driest of any month since 1947.

DSC05070.jpg BTW...I know someone will ask, but this yellow "Minneapolis" puller is not a Moline at all. I forgot to ask what it really is, but I think it may be a JD?

I see you got pic of a Jubilee or NAA and a Farmall Cub both look good. The 8n 9n with the 2 exhaust pipes, 6cly? that's different.

No, standard 4cylinder. A fella he knows custom builds the intake/exhaust manifolds. Just to be different I suppose. I don't think the factory ever made such a manifold.
That is a Jubilee.

Thanks for the pics Dan! That last pic is a nicely restored VAC. Probably a later model, '52, '53, '54. The grille and the location of the foot rests gives it away. I hope that you enjoyed the show despite the lower turnout. Those are nice prizes they give away down there too!
