Hi,
I am a Bolens Newbie. Had my 600 since spring and I am slowly restoring it. I bought it without any attachments. My question is what could I expect to run effectively with the 6 hp briggs it has? What size mower deck? What size snowblower? Rear Plow? Tiller? Any help will be appreciated. Hope to have it painted and pics posted before snow flies.
Thanks,
Marv

Even though the 600 is the smallest in its series it can still power a wide variety of attachments.
Here are just some of the basics...
32'' mowerdeck
22'' Tiller
30'' front Reel mower
32'' snow caster
8'' Moldboard plow
42'' Blade/ snow /dirt

Take a look at the brochures I uploaded they serve as a great reference for color scheme's ect.
Have any pics of your Bolens?

I do have pics but I am having trouble getting them attached.

I am familiar with the brochures. In fact I have a copy of it in my shop as inspiration. I plan to use the brochure for paint matching.

Thank you for the feedback on the attachments. Great Website!

Thank you for the link.

I must still be doing something wrong. For some reason when trying to attach a photo I am brought to the file manager screen but when I click on Add File nothing happens. Any advice?

When you click on add file you will get a blank box....you then have to click select file then you will be able to select pics from your computer.

Bolens Husky 600 before restoration 001.jpg

This tractor had a face only a mother could love! I am about half complete with the sandblasting. It's starting to take shape. Notice the logo on the side of the hood. Have you ever seen this on a 600 before? Pics on the website have a much different logo.

I believe I have seen those decals somewhere else.... I cant remember if it was in a Bolens article or if it was another member's tractor.... I'll look in my Brochures tonight and see what I can find.

seems Bolens was always making minor changes to the lineup constantly...whether it be Paint scheme, decals, etc. It sure makes it hard to get things right when they used so many different styles and didnt document them sometimes!:wallbanging: LOL

They were posted right on this site!

This Bolens is a 1963 600. Yours appears to be a 1962 600 with a 1963 hood...

Might have to change your name to Dr. Bolens LOL

The one you found was from the Cumberland Valley antique show we were at. We had the tent setup right behind that tractor and dad's 600 was right beside the tent.
