There is a u-tube video of a fellow that made a mini jd 8870 4x4 and he is plowing with it at a tractor show. His cab is perfect scale to the little tractor . But he has to sit on the rear fenders and reach his hand through the window to steer the tiny steering wheel. So to keep it to scale isn't very practical for me to use to plow snow all winter . But his cab is the best true to scale one I have ever seen .

I have thought about a rops bar too and might do something like that.

Got the frame cut , stretched 12" and rewelded back together . Now the dual wheels turn great . Tomorrow I'll work more on redoing some of the hydraulic lines. :camera:

I'm surprised to how little there is to the rear end of that. I know they can be outfitted with a three point with a hydraulic tilt top link, the install on that must be pretty tight.

Rebuilt the disc brake assembly today , reconnected all the longer hoses and refilled the hydraulic fluid . Got started fabricating the new floor an :camera: d seat mount to have seat move with the steering wheel instead of moving the opposite direction.

Got the exhaust stack built  , the front right fender / air cleaner support roughed in and the right rear fender roughed in . Here is a picture of the model I am going to use to look at for the conversion. The cab will be to scale with modifications for display or snowplowing purposes .

Are you going to make a new hood, or stay with the original? It would be cool if you made it a mini of that big Deere!

Yes it will get a new curved hood instead of the straight boxy hood and a longer nose on the hood. Today I will work on mounting the first rear fender and work on the front right tank below the exhaust.
