Yes they are good tractors. I have a 1951 Country Squire, with a Briggs. Serial # would be helpful,as would pictures. tag, fenders, etc. The Country Squire was a mail order tractor of the same manufacture. Shawn

Congrats! I am looking forward to pictures! I attached a chart of the engine offered and when, it should answer your engine question and tell you what it would have possibly had.

Would think 52 to have an old Briggs or even Wisconsin engine? Pix would be helpful. Not a chain steer?, has it got brakes or maybe hand brakes? No hood? or Round small hood? Have tunnel cover of tin over driveshaft? Any lift or mower deck? Too many questions, need pictures. Might have serial numbers on the bellhousing in front of shifter or just stickers on dash or grill if it has those. Some early ones had Ford Rear-ends and later went to Dana.
