You should make room for that one!  It has the later transaxle/pump and H3 which makes it a worker/keeper in my book.  $500 would be my offer.

Are you sure that would be a good price, look at the dust it has on it, maybe $599.00 and he can keep his dust.  Seriously  that does look and sounds like more than a fair asking price, if I had the need for such a monister I would buy it.

LOL, I can always MAKE room... I sent a trade offer so we'll see. Ever since I discovered GT's I've had a thing for the 140's.

140's are great tractors.  I wanted a 140 but landed a 120 and love my find.  Let us know how this goes.

The more I have looked at these old Deere's I believe the 120 is harder to find. Having a 140 of course now I want a 120!

120's are hard to find.  Made in 1970 and 1971 only.  My guess is somewhere around 10,000 were produced.

It is either a 140 H1 or a 120.  My money is on the 140 due to the wider rear tires but I have seen 120's with the wide ones.  Mine has the narrow tires which is fine with me.

I think it's a 140 H1. I talked to him and he mentioned that his brother has an H1.

As mentioned, I talked to him and I hope we've made a deal. He said he could meet me me in between but we haven't finalized the deal yet.

I'll update tomorrow. I would be happy if my first JD is a 140 H3... :D

of course now I'm: :biting_nails:

Looks like we've struck a deal!

I just finished up a 20 minute conversation with him. Seems like a nice guy and committed to the sell (he's already turned other buyers away this morning). He said the tires are good, he put a new battery, JD filter and JD fluid in the rear end in the fall. He said it does need an air filter and oil change before mowing season. Comes with a 48" deck that is ready to mow and from what I've seen the deck alone is worth have of the price. He said the hood does have one small chipped spot on the front edge. He also said that both hydraulic ports are in front...

The bad: If this thing is as nice as I expect and I like it as much I as think I will... I think I might have to get rid of either the Kubota or the Cub :boo_hoo:

I'm meeting him tomorrow evening
