Not good!!!

Did some troubleshooting

1. Spark plug had good power about knocked my hand out of the pliers

2. Gas bowl had alot of micro crap in the bowl and filter

3. Inline filter had quite a bit of Micro continuation in it sediment

Cleaned out filters, went to try to start it and battery went dead

Carb might have that crap in it also, I wanted to try to start it first

Today, charged battery now all I hear in the key clicking at console starter wont turn, dont know what to think? what should I do next?

I have a spare starter should I swap it out?

Thanks as always for your help

1. Worked on it all day today, Removed solenoid, cleaned all post and mounts, remounted - Would not crank!

2. Removed Starter and replaced, cranks great now and smooth, But still wont start, even with fast start sprayed in Carb

3. took spark plus out and cranked motor, now have NO SPARK at all I saw a small one once

NEw problem now what a day

The coil is really old could it be that? the points and condensor are new

How new on the points/condenser?  I'd try a different condenser first.

tore the hood off and grill, I was looking at the coil, I followed the power wire up to the switch and BAM the QD had fallen off the switch UNBELIEVABLE, hooked it up started the first time.

I guess the starter was going out any way it wouldnt even spin over

Glad it turned out simple!

Took 3 days, had to clean out fuel system, recharge battery that I ran down, change the starter that finally went out, then trouble shoot the wiring. But she RUNS great now

I like the tractor seat I got the Theisen's Home, farm and auto store

seat.png

Talon Seats Deluxe High-Back Steel Pan Seat

it is a universal seat.

Yes I know it is not a Deere seat, but it fits my bottom better then the Deere seats.  They sell for around $80 here.

Any good Farm and Home store should have something like it.

I am guessing a similar price to what you find locally if you figure shipping.

Does it fit the bolt patterns to mount it on the Deere?
