I'm pleased that the paint is coming out fairly close to the original JD color, if you look at this pic, it has my OLD deck lift arm with the original JD paint on it next to my repainted color, not bad Id say

Today I installed the front hood hinges and the front grill. I also put the new JD center console sticker on and the on off switch sticker

Man that big sticker was hard to get in the right place I have some real small air bubbles

This project has been awesome to follow.  Can't wait for the day when you show us the finished product!  Keep up the good work. What are your plans with "Dewey"? tractor shows? or putting him back to work?

Note you have to watch some of these Ebay people, I wanted to make sure that a PTO cover was going to fit mine the guy said give me your S/N and tractor Model, I did and he said it would fit, once I received it, it was the wrong one. Hes refunding me but I had to pay $11 to send it back, he said no postage refund, I told him its your fault you said it would fit.

Same thing happened to me on that lift mechanism, guy said it was for my tractor found out it was not and would not

The tractor is really coming along. The paint looks good to me. I used Tremclad JD Green on my 314 which I think is the brand name used for Rustoleum in Canada. I found it was a pretty good match to the JD green on my 2008 2320. It also went on smooth and has a nice gloss to it.

Brian, I used the Rustoleum it Matches almost the same as the original. The only thing I dont like about the Rustoleum is the can has the small spray nozzle vice the bigger one that comes on their normal paint, normal paint nozzle easier to spray and you cant interchange them. Also with the Rustoleaum you cant come back and touch up, it leaves a distintive new paint blouch doesnt blend in, have to repaint the whole area not to notice it

Got the wiring harness reinstalled, does any one know what is suppose to connect to the empty slot on the key ignition switch? The right slot is empty.
