This is the third anode I've taken out of my "Plow Hoss" gas tank.0310130820.jpg How much build-up before it becomes in-effective?

I would say that is pretty ineffective at this point. I would reuse it with a good cleanup tho. None of the ones I've done or seen ever got that bad before I lost continuity.

What are your next stages? I assume you are going to do the nuts and washers trick to "sandblast" the inside of the tank, then coat it with something?
