I recently acquired a WH 312-8 in a trade from a friend who'd gotten it from a neighbor...Long story short, the WH sat outside for about 7 years and the printing on the serial # sticker had completely faded away to nothing. On a lark, I got the names of the original owners from the friend and went to the dealership where it was purchased. (this information was found on 2 separate dealer ID stickers on the tractor. I think WH should've used that kind of ink on their stickers!) To my delight, the owner was the one behind the counter and he almost immediately remembered the transaction...from May of 1987! He walked to a file card rack, pulled out an index card and handed it to me so I could copy down the info. :bounce: If any of you are near Orangeville, OH and you need parts for your Horse, Stop in at Boyd's Lawn and Garden! Just wanted to pass this along. -Steve

Well wasn't that a surprise! You now have all the history on it. Not often we can acquire the history of the tractors we buy.

That is really neat. A nice bit of luck to get the owner of the shop.

That seems to be the way with me. I have a lot of luck with the people that I meet "just by chance". I seem to meet the right people at the right times. I just wish I had that kind of luck with money LOL!
