This Case came up on Craigslist and my grandfather is interested in it. We can't tell what model it is though. The guy says it is a 222,but I didn't think so since it has 6 lug wheels. Anybody know what model it is?

Edit: Would help to have a picture. :rolling:

Could be a 195, or have a loader rear end, hood looks newer than tractor, so many unknowns. But a serial # would stop

all the guessing on my part.

Do the rear tire proportions  look right to you John? What is the size of rear tire? I have seen some odd home made adapters to put large wheels on low riders.

If your close by It look at rear tire at axle flange see if it welded off center to rim as it appears to me in photo. In person you should be able to read painted over hood decal.Looks like 224 hood.Looks like a teens what can I do with my tractor project.

Looks to me like a big wheel case. The front axle spindle looks like a big wheel model and notice the frame running down hill.Looks like it might have the factory big wheel rear hubs but with a smaller wheel on it.

That is really not meant as any slam  on any teen. We've all been there all be it a long long time ago for some of us. I was into straight pipes and headers. What I mean if it is a low rider. It's something I would have done in younger years black out the tan hood put bigger tires on it.

That is what I was thinking. I thought somebody might have swapped out the hood also.

Tell ya, the more I look at picture the more I'm confused I am, never seen a spoke/hole steering wheel, even the F/R and lift handles don't look right, think I would pass unless it was almost free and I had a few other Cases hanging around needing a part machine.

But I do like the mud flaps  :bigrofl:

LTD, keep looking,

I see a lot of Case up your way. In fact my 224 was a CL find from a horse farm in Putnam Valley,NY

It is pretty cheap. What do you think it is worth?

100 non  - 150 if running, but I have enough stuff kicking around so I could "make" something Case with it. If it was my first Case I would pass, by the time you get want is needed it would be cheaper to buy a complete one. My 224 was only 600, and my son drove it off the trailer and started to cut our lawn with it, before I checked anything. Thinking about it, almost three years old to me, and the only thing done so far is blade sharpen and oil change, still has old plug in it. It's the one in the "still no seat time" posts I started about the '13 blizzard.

For what its worth it is a 100 or 200 series.You can tell by fenders  and seat base.400 seat sets lower than fender. And fender would be almost level with lower edge of hood.I'm with John good for parts tractor.
