well a frined bought 2 cubs of his fil and in the box of parts we came across this U.T.P. (unidentified tractor part) he bought a cub 70 and a 122. well here are the 2 pics i took of said part:gallery_8613_418_165117.jpggallery_8613_418_223816.jpg

It appears to be a friction holding device of some sort, but I've never seen one like it on a GT.  The spring puts pressure on a pair of fiber discs that create friction to hold the shaft in place.  Possibly a hydro control hold?

I can't see it very well but, it looks like a tool used for assembling a spring loaded mechanism. I can't remember where I saw a tool used that looked sort of like it. I do remember thinking that it was a time saver.
