Hello to all. I am new to the group. I own a Wizard / Edko Walk Behind Tractor, a close friend of mine gave me. I gave up on the engine, as I am not proficient in small engine repair. I purchased a new engine to go on it. Now I will have to find a longer belt as the dimension has changed with the new engine. I don't even know if it has the reverse. I read in a post it had a reverse. Anyway here are some picture, it's really not that old, I was in High School when it was built, that wasn't more than ten years ago   Best Regards to All Larry S in Cleveland, AL

I did save the original engine, 1977 5hp Briggs with the 6:1 gear reduction. Not sure what I will do with it.

On the topic of a new belt, is there any certain type belt material I am looking for? Or will any off the shelf engine fan belt work? How is the reverse suppose to work? Many questions.

Welcome to site, glad to have you aboard.  Cant help much with the reverse question but hopefully someone else will pipe up.  I have had good luck with the belts that our local Tractor Supply Co sells.

Now lets check that math:

High School not more than 10 years ago when this was built

Original engine 1977

2013-10 = 2003 - 1977, carry the one, divide by 2 add a little for the fun of it.......... ah crud I give up.

Hey your right I was in High School 10 years ago too.  (1979 Grad)

Enjoy your time here Larry

A rebuilding kit is less than$100.

I graduated in 1979 also, that was only 10 years ago right? By the way, I grew up in Pontiac until I was 10 years old. Shhhhhhhhhh don't tell anyone, the rebels will run me out of Alabama. Mom and Dad were from Bama, Dad had to take medical retirement from GM and we moved back here to be with our relatives.

Welcome!  I like your walk behind.  I always enjoy knowing that a two wheeler is saved, since lot of people just want to get rid of them.
