I have a DB 57560 Super Power (with hood) that needs a more appropriate engine.  I have found one on Kijiji, but it is 4 to 5 hours away.  Before I venture that far on spec, can you tell if this one will work?  Can you tell what model Briggs it is?

Yes it would work. But you have to take the gear reduction off of it.

It should work the 57560 came with a Model 8 Briggs. You would need to move the gastank and find a DB style air cleaner.

No this engine has a gear made on the crankshaft for the gear reduction. You will have to change crankshaft to make fit. Do you know the model of briggs you need. I have a briggs off of david Bradley for sale.Complete needs work.

To be correct a Model 8. Depending on series number could be an early or late.
