I am curious why this add says 1 dollar,is it to draw your attention to the add or what's the story ?

He has to put an amount in the "price" box when filling out the ad. Since he is not selling just a single item where he could put the asking price, he went with $1.00 and let the body of his ad tell the true story. This is not uncommon.

He's way high for the headlamps by about $25.00 and at the upper end of the scale for the other items. However, it's a local ad so once again, you have to factor in shipping costs if you buy the same items from e-Bay.

I guess just I haven't looked at a lot of ads done that way.

I have seen ads that way. It makes me look, usually. Funny thing is, they are never for a dollar.

If I am not mistaken on CL you can leave the price field blank if you wanted to. I have seen that done a lot though where someone will put $1. I have also seen people put a couple of prices in there like $3050100 meaning $30, $50, $100

That gives even more credence to the old saying "nothing is free"....if anyone takes her, they ARE gonna pay! Right hydriv?
