Got it all back together today. I sprayed two coats of flood penetrol on the underside after cleaning it up a cup brush and one coat of flood on the top, then two coats of JD on the top. This isn't resto quality, just a good paint job. Ordered a new center spindle shaft and pulley and installed all new brgs. AFAIK it's ready to mow!! I guess I'll have to wait for the 14" of snow to melt, maybe in a month,LOL!!

My deck is fairly rough , but works fairly good. I've got one spindle that feels a little rough on the left. Deck needs a couple holes or cracks welded around the middle spindle and both of the rollers should be replaced. Also the shields are missing . I wish it had 4 wheels instead of two .

So next project will be the deck after I get tractor back together.

He say he isn't going to show it, yea, look at that nice paint job, show quality to me-all you need is the stickers and you will be a winner.

I could take some closeup pics so you could see it isn't resto quality. I just knocked the loose stuff off and smoothed things lightly. I've developed great faith in the penetrol as a solid bonding primer. I did tape over the stickers and ID tag.

Bring it on!!!  Nothin' complicated to an average paint job.
