Well.. With a hope for one last journey in life.  A friend and myself are in planning stages of a long dream of mine.. He is passing on his trip of a life time as he will have a very long time to still do his Alaska trip.  We will be starting in Edmonton Alberta. Head west to Seattle and then south to LA. East to Austin then to Birmingham. To Raleigh then up to Boston then home from there. My buddy is coming to keep me outta trouble and focused on where i am and where to go.. I will take a extra day or two along the east coast to meet up with some friends i have made..  I'm sure hoping i can pull this off. My wife is undecided if she even wants me to go.

This will be done on my Harley and his (what ever he buys this year).... We are looking at a june take off..

MIght take a couple dollar menu servings to fill me up.. lol Actually.. when on the bike i eat pretty light so there are fewer "pit stops"...  I really look forward to doing this.. I hope it comes together. My specialist might even shut this down.. BUT.. i might not mention it to him..

We will be passing threw NC.. I will need to sit down and figure out how long my buddy wants to ride.. Everyone seems to call me the Iron butt of the group when it comes to riding.. There is no better place to be.. This is year 27 for me. It's my true love outside of my son and wife.  Everything else is just so i can go riding. I sure wish i could earn a living riding... Would be a dream come true for this guy..

Sounds like a dream ride!  If you are riding through GA I'll try and meet up with and ride for a while, maybe even show you some neat Short cuts depending on you route and schedule.   I hear what you are saying about riding and if you could work at it but my experience is that once something that you love becomes work and a must do then all things change and your love for it fades.

Wish you the best and keep us posted on your plans.

Coming through Maine? Will spot you a home cooked meal (or take you out if you're not near the house) and a brief R&R.

I can just see that some weight might be gained with all these meal offers.
