I posted videos and anticipated a great seat time experience. Only to be disappointed again. We only ended up with 4" of heavy wet snow. The old CC 129 did a great job as usual with no traction problems. Even the heavy wet stuff does not seem to bother it. I would like a good test with about 12"-16" of even snow. When we have gotten that much it has always been with large drifts. I think Mother Nature is just PO'd at the Chicago area. We have had a lot of rain this winter.

Oh well, enough complaining.

Ever since I got the S-16 set up with the blade, all we get is the little snows. I think 4" is the most I ever moved. For several years we had a couple storms with decent snowfall. So it was time for a gt with snow plow. Now I barely use it, but it is there if needed.

Well that has not been the case here. We were only supose to get 1-2" and be done by this morning.. But the Storm seems to have stalled out over Central Iowa and I have about 9" and have logged 3 hrs of seat time. They are saying it will not end until tomorrow morning now. The Blue Mule is surely earning it's keep!

Don't worry, I'll bet you get more before spring.  You never know this time of year.  Look at Iowa.  Big surprise there.  I don't like that heavy wet stuff.  I'm glad you only got four inches of it.

I can't believe they called school here today and all we got was about 2" of snow total.  In fairness to the superintendent, it was snowing to beat the band at 4:30 am when he made the call, and the weather folks were still saying we could get 6".  Then, right after that wonderful early morning text message: "School canceled", the snow just stopped.  It's been heavy rain ever since.  Pretty sloppy cleanup but the JD blade and Johnny Bucket made short work of it.

Oh hey, it's just now spitting snow again.
