I think that locally it is the evening hours that keeps them in business. Most times the service is just not there, but when the lumber yard is closed an hour before you get off work where else do you go. I am always frustrated by the time I get out of the big stores.

One of my pet peeves with the box stores is they stock only fast moving items. If you are fixing repairing and retrofitting they probably won't have some of the pieces needed. Plumbing is the worst, 2000 1/2" 90 copper elbows in stock but try and find a street 45 or such.... My local hardware store may not have 2000 of them but he will have some.....

I ran out of carb cleaner a while back and it was about time for my granddaughter to get out of school.  I asked her to run my walley world to pic some up.  They wouldn't sell them to her since she is 16.
