i pulled the carb off cleaned the sediment bowl on the tank and cleaned the bowl on the carb out put fresh gas in it hit the choke an pushed the button is all. im hoping the 123 is as easy to get going

I just figured your 70 was feeling inadequate because he smaller, by a 1/4 horse. :rolling:

lol if thats the case the 70 is a heavy weight compared to the squire and i dont think a 1/4 hp will make much difference lol. they should all feel wimpy with the 17hp john deere an its 48 deck

im keeping it in work uniform for now and use it the way it is. it reminds me more of my great grandpa's the way it looks right now

i got the model number today its 69618

also found out it was built in Nov of '63
